Nature Therapy Walk — Asilomar Beach Edition
Created a peaceful, informative two-page guide for a coastal nature therapy event. Design helped generate strong turnout and future collaboration opportunities.
This two-page event guide was created for a Nature Therapy Walk hosted at Asilomar Conference Grounds. The goal was to provide clear, calming information that aligned with the wellness-focused experience of forest bathing. My responsibilities included layout design, image curation, and written content refinement. Key features:

  • Clean, modern layout with soft natural tones
  • Informational sections on what to expect, what to bring, and where to meet
  • Balanced visual storytelling with photography and map integration
The guide helped secure 30 attendees and sparked significant post-event engagement. Due to its impact, I was invited back to contribute to CCOF’s 2024 All Staff Picnic.

In the Winter 2021 issue of Around the Table, the Port Townsend Food Co-op’s quarterly newsletter, I authored “An Essential Breath of Fresh Air”—a feature exploring how scent and aromatherapy can help people manage emotional stress during the COVID-19 pandemic. Blending research, storytelling, and product knowledge, the article offered readers an accessible path to self-care using essential oils. Highlights from the article:

  • Explained the science behind how scent impacts mood and memory
  • Shared practical aromatherapy tools: diffusers, spritzers, bath salts, and topicals
  • Recommended Co-op products based on personal and community feedback
  • Promoted safe and accessible wellness habits for essential workers and the broader community
  • Dedicated to frontline staff, encouraging emotional reset through sensory awareness
The article drove reader engagement with the Co-op’s Wellness Department and reinforced the organization’s mission of community-centered health and sustainability.

I wrote a seasonal blog post for The Food Co-op titled “Winter Skin Care,” addressing common skin concerns during colder months, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The article provided actionable tips on preventing dryness and acne caused by mask-wearing and frequent hand washing. It emphasized the importance of gentle skincare routines and highlighted natural, fragrance-free products available at the co-op. The piece resonated with readers seeking accessible and effective solutions for maintaining healthy skin during challenging times.

Led the development of a sustainable, Fair Trade Certified beanie featuring the vintage CCOF logo, enhancing brand visibility and supporting ethical fashion.
Collaborated with vendors to produce a unisex beanie made from 50% recycled knit material, showcasing the vintage CCOF logo on a front patch. Oversaw the entire process from vendor selection and ordering to graphic design collaboration and product photography. Support Farmers Organic Hat – TOPP Southwest
Led the production of a premium organic cotton hat for the USDA TOPP program, merging sustainable materials with impactful messaging to equip mentors across the Southwest.
As part of the USDA’s Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP), I led the concept-to-distribution production of the “Support Farmers” organic cotton hat, designed to unify and equip organic mentors across the Southwest Region. The project required deep collaboration across design, branding, and vendor channels to ensure both form and function aligned with the TOPP mission.Key Contributions included:

  • Spearheaded product selection of an Econscious EC7000 organic cotton hat in black
  • Led graphic direction and refinement for a custom leather patch design featuring USDA Organic and “Support Farmers” messaging
  • Oversaw vendor coordination, order logistics, and production of 96 high-quality hats

Advocacy Alert: Protecting USDA Organic Staff
Designed an urgent advocacy email mobilizing members to support USDA organic staff against proposed federal workforce cuts.
I developed and executed an urgent email campaign titled “Sign This Letter to Protect USDA Organic Staff from Federal Workforce Cuts” to drive rapid, coordinated action across the organic community. The goal: defend critical USDA Organic positions facing proposed federal budget reductions. To achieve this, I strategically crafted messaging that balanced urgency with clarity, designed a mobile-optimized layout, and embedded a direct call-to-action link to a collective petition letter. The result was a groundswell of support—more than 1,000 signatures were collected within days, driven directly by the email’s engagement. This campaign not only amplified the organization’s advocacy impact, but also proved how values-driven digital strategy can translate into real-world influence.
