If you’re a smoothie fanatic and enjoy making your own pre work out protein shakes, and smoothies, you’re going to love this fun and nostalgic recipe. This banana smoothie recipe is the perfect treat on days when you’re running around (literally) and want a simple treat to keep your energy high and your body fueled.
In only 10 minutes- or less, you are going to have the tastiest and hearty banana smoothie. The best part about it- is that you most like already have all these ingredients in your kitchen. So let’s get started and let’s make this healthy banana smoothie that will have you come back for more.
Equipment needed
- Blender or ninja/bullet – Today I am using the magic bullet. It was gifted to my mom for Christmas- but of course, she has not used it since receiving it almost a month ago. So, I think it’s within my rights to break in the damn thing. Haha. Okay let’s see how thing goes.
- Spoon– I’m going to be using a regular-degular cereal spoon to measure the amounts for the spices, almond butter, and vanilla extract.
- Measuring cup– I will be using this small rounded 1 cup metallic measuring scoop. It’s easy to use and easy to clean up.
- Small Knife– Since you are going to be cutting the peel of the frozen banana, you want to make sure that your knife is not too big.
- Cutting Board– You won’t need this much, but will need to chop the banana chunks so make sure you have one handy.
- Serving glass– I have my little mason jar ready for the final product. So I just make sure to have that off to the side ready to serve the final smoothie.
Ingredients

- 1 scope of Maple Almond Butter
- 1 Frozen
- 2 Cups of Oat Milk
- 1 small portion of Ground cinnamon
- 1 dash of Vanilla Extract

Step-by-step instructions
Step 1 Prepping stage
First, before getting started with the actual smoothie first I am going to place a ripe banana in the freezer. This will give the smoothie an icy consistency without actually watering down the flavor of the smoothie.
Step 2
Once the banana is frozen (I did this the night before to make sure that it was ready, but you can do it how many hours in advance you would like) you will then peel the frozen banana with a knife.

Ensure that all of the peel is completely off but try your best to conserve as much of the actual banana as possible.
Step 3
Next you can cut the banana in smaller chunks for easy and smoothie blending.
Step 4 Add remaining ingredients!

Then add all the ingredients into the blender and blend!
Step 5 Blend!

Next push down on your magic bullet (or whatever other type of equipment you are using) and lock it into place. Blend for 45 seconds.
Step 6 Serve and enjoy!

Finally, serve and enjoy your new favorite banana maple almond butter smoothie!
If you are eating this post workout or as a snack we recommend pairing with a side bowl of fruits or cookies.
Serving suggestions

If you’re drinking the delicious smoothie after a workout or as a mid-day snack, as perfecting pairing are fruits or a small bar. Cherries are our go-to fruit to pair with this drink. The almond butter flavor with the cherry will give it that nostalgic flavor combination of eating PP&Js. Alternatively, you can also pair with raspberries, or strawberries, which are also popular jam flavors.
